Christine Chapman AM

Chair, Communities, Equality and Local Government Committee,

National Assembly for Wales

Dear Ms Chapman,

I am the owner of Riverside Touring and Holiday Home Park in Betws y Coed, Conwy.  This is a holiday and touring park business, providing 60 pitches for touring caravans, motorhomes and tents and 66 pitches for static holiday caravans.

I write in response to the consultation on the Holiday Caravan Sites (Wales) Bill. My trade association, BH&HPA has responded on behalf of all members and I endorse their evidence - on this link - to you.

Whilst I support Mr Millers objective to stamp out the rouge element within the industry I ask please that you ensure that my park business and many more well run Caravan Parks within Wales are not placed at competitive disadvantage, jeopardising the direct and indirect employment we sustain because of a few bad apples. These should be dealt with directly by their local authorities and appropriate action taken.

Yours sincerely,

Edward Goddard
